Hi, late again…but work etc..so did you guess that Carl would be the one to leave???? I was thinking that he would be as sometimes the public really listen to what the judges say ( amazing..). I myself listen to them and sometimes agree but not with the way they sometimes put it out there!!! I was sorry to see him go because as they said he has grown and really developed into a strong all round performer, he really does need to keep his trumpet though as he needs to be different to Michael Buble’ and Harry Connick Jr. He needs to keep on developing his own unique style..as I think he is going to keep in the public eye now we have found him. Such a sweety lol and will he go back to the Navy??? But more will they have him back??? Personally I believe he couldn’t go far wrong if he stayed in the Navy and got some more experience singing with them and then went back out and really gave it another shot..but who knows what will be his decision and all I can say is whatever you decide Carl we will all be watching waiting and hoping to see you succeed!

Hi, Hope everyone had a lovely weekend…I did I went to Melbourne and to see Damien Leith in concert…OMG>> he is an extraordinary performerI am madly in love all over again..

But I digress a little from the topic…..haha. I was so impressed with Matt Corby’s performance last night and was glad to see the confident young man we first saw early on in the show… both of his songs suited him and he did them with class and gusto…lol So finals here we come…

As to Carl’s performances the first was quite good as per usual and pretty much what we expected and he does seem to have plateaued with his style.. He does need to get back a little diversity I believe to make it all the way. As to song number to..For Once in My Life, not my favourite song or performance from Carl. So we will see what happens tonight!!!!

I adore Natalie but she needs to get her confidence back again, after last weeks performances she was so fabulous maybe she felt she just couldn‘t top them with what she was given??? I am not a huge Madge fan and that song was not really a good choice for her and why they let it get through is beyond me.. So here’s hoping that she hasn’t done her dash and she does make it through tonight…Okay best wishes to all for tonight…..xxx fingers..all crossed.

HEY ALL..

Well Sunday nights show was an eye opener for sure…. Natalie rocked..or jazzed..and so did Matty…Carl did as well as we expected and Mark was right he has plateaued.  Marty Marty Marty…..he did a lovely job really I loved what he did as he did it his way and did it well. I wasn’t really surprised by Natalie’s performances, that girl can do it all fabulously. Matt certainly blew me away with just how well he did, I think he decided to just go out there and go for it!!!!  He was truly and inspiration to all young people out there that music of all kinds can be fun and entertaining and doesn’t have to be boring and old. He seemed to lose a little towards the end of his last song but pulled it back and finished on a high….kudos to him.

Now for Marty, as I have stated much earlier on he really isn’t suited for the top group…..and no complaints please it doesn’t mean that I think he isn’t great, just not Idol material. He clearly showed from early days that he was reluctant to really put his all in!!!  Not once did he put a show stopping performance in like the others, his heart just wasn’t really in it and it showed. Especially in the group performances he just didn’t look comfortable ever. So if it wasn’t for the judges saying every week that he shouldn’t be there he would’ve gone much earlier on and been just as happy. He had said from the beginning that he only prefers to sing with his guitar and own songs and that is what should have happened, I am not saying that he didn’t put in any great performances but NO.. all  jump out of your seat and dance ones.

So farewell Marty and go on with your plans for your own Music career and I am damn sure that someone out there is champing at the bit to sign you up. And so it is with a sadness that we say Congratulations on making the top 4 Marty and enjoy your surfing and friends and all the girls waiting out there in the world for you…lmao..

Hi, sorry I am late with this again but lots of work and selling of house going on so busy busy…..but did not miss Idol..lol.

Now for Miss Tarisai, finally we see who she is a feisty firey young woman who isn’t afraid to come out swinging..even if it was at poor defenceless Mark Holden..hahaha!! We all heard about who she was really and occasionally saw a little bit of her in the behind the scenes promo’s and idol backstage, but now when it is too late she exposes her true self just a little too much hmmmm!!! Maybe if she had shown us a bit more of herself a little bit earlier she just might have been in the final 2!!!! But whether it was a lot too much in one go shown to us now when it really counted makes me wonder why not a lot earlier…?????

I am not going to say that she was a fake because that is a bit of a misnomer…lol..and that is not what got her less votes I hope!! What people were trying to get through to her and failing…:( was that her attitude after singing during the judging was just too too…. bland/blah /almost smug. Sometimes she even seemed to give the appearance that they just didn’t know what the heck they were talking about….and that I think put a lot of people off her.

We know now that she was just being polite ( she says ) and that she didn’t understand sometimes what they were saying.. And let us and them remember English is her second language and we all know it is the hardest of all languages to learn.. ( by outsiders told to us of course…lol ) But…if she didn’t understand why couldn’t she have just said that as over the years we have had Idols who did say I am not getting what you mean??? So Tarisai made a lot of mistakes, unintentional but the public is a fickle beast and it can turn really quickly and bite sometimes….as we all well know. Quite a bit of tall Poppy syndrome here in this country be it music sport ( especially ) we seem to delight in being an absolute bitch when things don’t go the way we like…pmsl.

So now we farewell a truly talented and lovely young woman, but it is only that and not goodbye as we have not seen the last of this exceptionally talented woman by a long shot…we will be seeing her beautiful face around for a long while and hope that the Australian public will embrace her and show her that we are a good people and worth sticking around for!!!.

So Tarisai it is with sadness that we say farewell for at least the next couple of weeks lol.

HERE THEY ARE FINAL 5. Natalie Matt Marty Tarisai and Carl. There are only 3 more to go actually as we all know the final 2 go to the Opera House for the Finale. I don’t know about you but I am hoping for Natalie and Carl for now… No-one else has really blown me off my feet yet.. I give Matt kudos for consistently lovely performances and Marty for improving and Tarisai lots for a fabulous voice but so far they just haven’t moved me emotionally yet!! But I fib a little Tarisai’s performance of Your Kissing Me..from Leo’s and Claire’s ” Romeo and Juliet” did touch me a lot as she sang it beautifully.. but not enough as yet to change my feelings.

Natalie and Carl so far have been really giving their all every performance, Nat may not have knocked my socks off yet but nearly……and Carl’s so much improved in every way ….singing movement( no matter what the H..says ) cool moves and just his personae…truly inspiring. I am hoping for just a bit more from both of them this coming Sunday…

But don’t get me wrong I love them all and truly hope to get a spellbinding performance from any of them and I think like a lot of my other forum members that someone really needs to Light up the Stage….as after Damien and Anthony’s show stoppers there just hasn’t been anything close.

SO KIDDIES PRETTY PLEASE…….JUST GO FOR IT….NOW..

Well now we say goodbye to Daniel Mifsud and he will be missed by many a young and longing female viewer…lol…. He just did what he could and it just wasn’t enough. He listened to what the Mark and Dicko etc..said to him and what was also said to some of the others as well. But it always comes down to song choice and unfortunately for Daniel he chose wrongly again. He has a lovely voice and personality, lovely brown and soulful eyes but not a strong enough voice in the right places.. His falsetto just isn’t good enough, he tried and as it goes with any of them the voice and vocal chords get a work out and he just didn’t quite get there this time. But as with all these wonderful kids.. he will go on to do as well as he can with what he has learned in Idol using this experience to keep on growing.

So Daniel all the very best wishes for you and your continuing music career may you keep up and keep on doing what you love and have a wonderful life.

I have to say I was devastated by Ben leaving the show, he is an extraordinary talent and I know that we will not be seeing the last of him.. Ben MacKenzie is a prize contender for whatever he does. Idol is not easy for some of these kids and yet it was in a way for Ben, he is an extremely confident and together young man! He will I am positive go on to much bigger and better things be it singing or a Movie Production career he will succeed and we will be watching and waiting to support a truly wonderful person as he is.

So to you Ben all the very best Wishes for your future no matter whatever you do we will be there supporting you..

Well well well, Marcia Hines just loses it…..finally!!!! Well compared to most of us she was quite ladylike and so delicious..lol. I have been waiting for over 4 years for this to happen, there were teasers a couple of times but now finally she has arrived….hahahaha!! Welcome to the real Marcia Hines, no matter how lovely and kind she is she still is a Mum and that means a bit of yelling now and then…lol

And I love the nickname…that Dicko has used Thumper!!! Though she has been called that before in the earlier days…hahaha. So we can now expect to hopefully see her get stuck into the others a bit more now as it has been building a long time and please Marcia don’t go backwards as you tell the kids keep on going and don’t let up.

HI,Sorry I am a bit behind at the moment.. I am in the middle of a 50th Birthday prep..mine lmao.. and I was very sad at the loss of both these outstanding and experienced talented young men!!!! I was in shock for Mark, and someone on the Idol forums mentioned the NRL finals on that weekend and that the older voters were a bit pre-occupied and didn’t vote as much as the younger generation… But who knows why the votes go the way they do. We know that Mark Da Costa will go on to perform where and whenever he can and  a little birdie told me even now he is putting together a few shows in Melbourne!!

Now to Jacob Butler, who has put his heart and every part of his being into making it into the Music Industry. He has put all and has gotten as far as he could on Idol and we commiserate and congratulate him on his achievement. But he will not give up and someone out there will see his true potential and so we will not be hearing the last of Mr Jacob Butler…

So as said just a quickie as it is my birthday today and am still in prep and have a houseful of interstate relatives…so good luck to those lovely young men and I will look forward to seeing them perform someday soon!!
